The 30 lap 360 Sprint Car A-Main got off to a slow start. Before a lap was complete the cars of Jeff Wilke (Genoa, IL), Randy Call (New Berlin) and Danny Schlaefer (Sussex), driving for Robbie Pribnow (Mayville), got together in turn 3 causing Wilke and Call to flip. Both drivers checked out to be fine but all cars involved were retired to the pits for the rest of the race. Getting the field relined up the green flag was shown only to be slowed again for the car of Russ Wetenkamp (Newton) facing the wrong way on the backstretch. Finally getting the race started, Wayne Modjeski (Oak Creek) jumped out to the lead from his fourth starting position. The field was slowed on lap 7 for the spinning car of Jason Lax (Kiel) in turn 4. On lap 9, the yellow was shown again for the car of Tim Haddy (Waupun) stopping in turn 2. Second place running Brian Portschy (Plymouth) also went to the pits on this yellow for mechanical reasons. By lap 10, Kurt Davis (Milwaukee), found himself in the top 5 after starting 15th. The caution came out on lap 12 for the car of Jay Riemer (Sheboygan Falls) stopping on the front stretch. Modjeski continued to set the pace for the field which was slowed again on lap 18 for the ride of Scott Mohs (Sheboygan Falls) stopping in turn 4. Lance Fassbender (Burnett) was now chasing Modjeski and with the time limit nearly expired, another caution came out on lap 21 for the car of Terry Marten (Sheboygan Falls) having mechanical problems and breaking on the backstretch. With the time limit now expired, Fassbender and Davis lined up right behind Modjeski for a green, white , checkered finish. Rounding out the top 5 were TJ Luedke (Plymouth) and Tony Wondra (Campbellsport).
The 15 lap Sprint Car B-Main went green to checkered with Mohs taking the lead from the outside of the front row. Transferring to the A-Main were Mohs, Kevin Karnitz (West Bend), Schmidt, Scott Conger (Eagle), Shane Wenninger (Kewaskum) and Wilke.
Billy Rezutek (Big Bend) started on the pole of the 25 lap Late Model A-Main and took the lead at the drop of the green. Paul Parker (Appleton) stayed right on Rezutek’s bumper and on lap 7 made the pass to take the lead. On lap 8 Parker started to encounter lap cars. Smoothly making his way through the lapped traffic Parker led the rest of the race with no cautions. Crossing behind Parker was Rezutek, Turk Letizia (Milwaukee), Robert Cullen (Chilton) and Tom Naeyaert (Shawano).
In honor of 50 years of EWSC racing the Grand Nationals ran twin 25 feature races with the best average finisher from them declared the overall winner. Brian Gilles (Plymouth) led the entire first 25 lap Grand National feature with cautions on lap 4 for the cars of 93 and 42 spinning in turn 2. On lap 6, the car of Phil Mott (Two Rivers) brought out the yellow flag. Gilles crossed the line to claim the first 25 lap feature followed by Ben Stumpf (Brillion), Jason Winkler (New Holstein), Bob Peter (Howards Grove) and Jason Dyer (New Holstein).
After inverting all the cars on the lead lap from the first 25 lap feature, Jerry Brickner (Mishicot) and Paul Perronne (Sheboygan) lined up on the front row for the second 25 lap feature. Brickner took the lead for the first four laps. On lap 5, Mike Bastian (Manitowoc) crossed the line ahead of Brickner to be scored in first. Bastian led the rest of the way with no cautions to take home the win of the second 25 lap feature. Crossing behind Bastian were Stumpf, Randy Brunette (Chilton), Peter, and Dyer.
After tallying the average finishes of the drivers from the two feature races, Stumpf was declared the overall winner. Finishing behind Stumpf were Peter, Bastian, Winkler, and Dyer.
