In the first leg of the Twin race, former Rand crew member and friend Kris Hansen of Manitowoc took the checkered flag to win his first A-Main of the season. The field inverted for the start of the second Twin main. Last week’s feature winner Steve Bricker of Two Rivers charged through the checkered to win his third feature of the season. When the finishes were combined and points tallied from the two races, Hansen won in the overall finish becoming the 2007 Pat Rand Memorial winner with a first and third place in the two races. Bricker placed second with first and fourth place finishes with Chuck Tuschl of Reedsville in third after finishing second and third. Butch Hafemann of Campbellsport followed in fourth with second and fourth place finishes.

In the Limited Late Model A-Main, heat winner Jay Crichton of Lake Villa, Illinois jumped to the front of the field with Paul Dirks of Elkhart Lake chasing him down. By lap two, Jeff Sayler of Howards Grove and Eric Michaels of Cleveland raced side by side down the front stretch crossing the line together in a battle for third. Behind them, Mark Dingel of Sheboygan and point leader Dan Dippel of Plymouth also charged door to door for fifth place. In the next lap, Michaels moved into third as Sayler now battled with Dingel at the start/finish line. As Sayler and Dingel charged through turn four to complete lap five, Dingel tucked his car to the inside groove and passed Michaels on the front stretch to take over third. A lap later, Dippel jumped from sixth to fourth behind Dingel to continue his charge. At the half-way point in lap 10, Dippel pulled into third with lots of work to catch the frontrunners of leader Crichton and second Dirks. Lap by lap, Dippel made up some track space pulling into second in lap 14 but Crichton charged out in front and through the checkered flag to win his first A-Main this season. Dippel followed in second with Howie Weiss of Gelnbeulah making a white flag lap pass to finish third. Dingel and DIrks rounded out the top five.

Mike Plate of Newton and Brett Wenzel of Two Rivers battled from the very first lap for the lead of the Grand National A-Main as they crossed the scoring line side by side in lap two with Wenzel edging out Plate. In the next lap, Chad Kistner of New Holstein charged into third behind the battling duo with fast qualifier Brian Gilles of Plymouth on his bumper. As leader Wenzel began distancing his car out in front, Gilles pulled beside Kistner to charge down the front stretch in lap four to take over third by inches but Kistner battled back the next lap retaking the position. A lap later, Gilles threw his car to the outside and charged passed Kistner and then in the next lap, passed Plate to take over the challenge spot. By this time, Wenzel held a comfortable lead over the rest of the field and Gilles would have some racing to do to catch up to his car. Leader Wenzel began lapping cars when a caution appeared in lap 14 which pulled Wenzel back to within striking distance. When the green flag flew again, Wenzel set the pace with Gilles and Kistner directly behind him. Chad Rathke of Random Lake and Jason Dyer of New Holstein completed the next row in fourth and fifth. A lap later, Jason Winkler of New Holstein charged from seventh to fifth behind Rathke. Gilles and Kistner readjusted to the high side of the track to catch the charging leader until lap 18, when Gilles tucked his car to the inside coming out of turn four but Wenzel continued in the lead. Wenzel charged through the white flag looking secure in a win but a final caution appeared after the white flag lap was completed and relined up the field one more time. Gilles and Kistner lined up again behind leader Wenzel for a quick two lap, green-white-checkered finish to the Grand National A-Main. The green flag flew and Wenzel maintained the lead with Gilles charging after him. Kistner followed with Winkler passing Rathke for fourth when the white flag flew for a second time. When the checkered flag waved, Wenzel charged through to win his third feature this season with fast qualifier Gilles following in second. Kistner and heat winner Winkler finished third and fourth with Jerry Wenzel of Two Rivers making a final lap pass to join the top five.

In the Eastern 8 A-Main, Steven Ruh of Chilton charged into the early lead in the second lap with Kevin Ruh of Elkhart Lake and Brett Koehler of Two Rivers on his bumper. The trio raced tightly pack up in front with just inches separating the racing action. Coming out of turn four to complete lap five, Kevin Ruh threw his car to the out side of Steven to charge into the lead on the front stretch. A lap later, Koehler followed suit and passed Steven Ruh to move into second. Mark Vranak of Sheboygan and Mike Kaufmann of Newton moved in behind the Ruh-Koehler-Ruh trio. At the line in lap 13, leader Kevin Ruh and Koehler were bumper to bumper in a great battle for control of the race but after the lap was complete, a caution flag appeared to reline up the field for a seven lap dash to the end. Kevin Ruh set the pace with Koehler and Steve Ruh in the row behind him.

On the restart, another yellow flag and mechanical problems plagued a couple drivers to shake up the restart lineup. Second place Koehler pulled out of the line up to head to the pits but was able to return to the back of the lineup. When the green flag flew for the final time, Kevin and Steven Ruh charged out in front side by side battling for control of the race. Kevin Ruh edged out Steven at the line for the next three laps with Kaufmann chasing them down. After the leaders raced down the front stretch to complete lap 17, Steven Ruh threw his car hard into turns one and two to charge down the back stretch passing Kevin Ruh to take over the lead. A lap later, when the white flag flew, Steven Ruh ran the high side of the track out in front with Kevin Ruh sticking to his bumper. Brad Ruh of Elkhart Lake made a white flag lap pass to take over fourth behind Kaufmann. On the final lap, coming through turns three and four, Kevin Ruh tucked his car to the inside of the track in a final attempt to win the race, but Steven Ruh charged outside again and down the front stretch to win his first A-Main of the season. Heat winner Kevin Ruh finished second with Kaufmann following in third. Four time feature winner Brad Ruh and Vranak rounded out the top five.

Without interruption, the Mighty 4 A-Main raced green flag to checkered as Kyle Resch of Manitowoc charged into the early lead with Jacob Meyer of Plymouth, Jamie Miller of Suamico and Amber Rabe also of Plymouth charging on his bumper. At the line in lap four, Resch, Meyer and Miller raced three abreast down the front stretch with only inches separating the battling cars. Rabe charged directly behind the trio with two-time feature winner Mark Kuhfuss of Howards Grove joining the top five. Two laps later, Greg Gierke of Kiel pulled alongside Kuhfuss to take over fifth at the line but Kuhfuss battled back and retook fifth at the line in lap seven.

Resch remained focused on staying out in front as Meyer, Miller and Rabe began a three wide battle for second. Meyer broke free and began closing in on leader Resch with Miller and Rabe still battling side by side for third. In lap 10, Rabe took over third with Kuhfuss charging passed Miller to take over fourth on the front stretch. Miller raced back in the next lap to pull passed Kuhfuss and tucked his car to the inside of Rabe to challenge for third. But Kuhfuss continued his charge when in the next lap he took back fourth and set his sights on Rabe in third. Two laps from the end of the race, Resch continued his charge in the lead with Meyer, Rabe and Kuhfuss battling for second. When the white flag flew, Meyer charged on the high side to maintain second but Kuhfuss continued the pressure through turns one and two and down the back stretch. At the checkered flag, Resch raced through to win his first A-Main of the season. Meyer and Kuhfuss battled for the final time through turns three and four as Kuhfuss charged passed Meyer to finish second. Meyer followed in third with a three wide battle behind him at the line. Jesse Heise of Suamico made a final lap charge from sixth at the white flag to pulling three wide with Miller and Rabe down the front stretch. At the line, Heise inched out the other two to finish fourth with Miller and Rabe finishing fifth and sixth.

Nick Sheridan of Fox Lake, Illinois charged out into the lead of the visiting Mini-Sprint A-Main with Tom Brown of Wonder Lake, Illinois chasing him down. Tim Brannam of McHenry, Illinois moved in behind them in third until Ron Brannam of Barrington, Illinois charged out of turn four to pass Tim at the line in lap seven. Ron Brannam continued his charge as he tucked his car to the inside of second place Brown in lap 11 to pressure for second. Brown held Brannam off and charged passed leader Sheridan at the white flag to take over the lead with one lap to go. After Brown and Brannam charged into turn one, Brannam bounced out of turn two and tipped over on the back stretch causing a late race caution after the white flag lap was completed. The field was relined up for a green-white-checkered flag finish with Brown setting the pace out in front. When the white flag flew again, Brown charged through in the lead with Tim Brannam moving into second and Sheridan behind him in third. Brown charged around the track for the final time and through the checkered flag to win the Mini-Sprint A-Main. Tim Brannam followed in second with heat winner Kirtess Boers making a last lap pass to finish third.
