When the Limited Late Models took the green flag for the main event, Paul Dingel of Sheboygan shot to the top spot with Jeff Sayler of Howards Grove on his bumper. By lap three, Scott Haugstad of Plymouth charged passed Sayler to take the challenge role. A lap later, Haugstad was stuck in the middle of a battling trio as Howie Weiss of Glenbeulah threw his car to the outside of Haugstad and Dan Dippel of Plymouth tucked his car to the inside. At the line, Weiss held the advantage by inches taking over second on the scoring sheets. As the trio charged into turns one and two, still three wide, second place was really up for grabs. When the battle shook out on the back stretch, Dippel took over second and began chasing leader Dingel. Haugstad held onto third with Weiss charging after him. By the halfway point, Dippel pulled next to Dingel and charged side by side through the turns and down the front stretch. At the line in lap eight, Dingel edged out Dippel by a bumper. Dingel and Dippel raced side by side through turns one and two, down the back stretch and through turns three and four. At the line in the next lap, only inches separated Dingel in the lead as the two crossed the scoring lie almost even. A lap later, Dippel edged out Dingel to take over the lead. Dingel threw his car to the outside to pressure for the lead by Dippel also threw his car to the outside to begin his charge to the checkered flag. Dingel continued his pressure but at the checkered flag, Dippel won his third A-Main of the season. Heat winner Dingel followed in second with Haugstad in third.
Jerry Brickner of Mishicot charged into the early lead in the Grand National A-Main with a heated three-wide battle behind him of Brett Wenzel of Two Rivers, Brian Rathe of Kewaunee and Mike Plate of Newton all vying for the challenge spot. As Brickner and the battling trio charged through the turns, Wenzel maneuvered and took the lead of the race the next lap with Chad Kistner of New Holstein jumping passed the rest to pull alongside Brickner to challenge for second place. At the line in lap four, Kistner inched out Brickner to take over second. Coming out of turn four for the next lap, the front of the field charged five-wide down the front stretch in a heated battle for the top spots. As the battling five charged into turn one, two cars pulled back making it a three-wide race through the turns. Kistner threw his car hard and high into turns three and four pulling alongside leader Wenzel. Kistner pulled out of turn four and across the scoring line just ahead of Wenzel and in the lead. Kistner and Wenzel continued to race side by side through the turns as Jason Winkler of New Holstein, Brian Gilles of Plymouth and Bob Peter of Howards Grove moved into the top five behind the battling Kistner and Wenzel. As Kistner raced out in front of the field, Wenzel threw his car to the outside to charge after him. Winkler and Gilles began their battle for third as they raced side by side down the front stretch in lap 10. Three laps later, Gilles edged out Winkler for third as both Gilles and Winkler caught up to second place Wenzel creating a three-wide battle for the challenge spot. Gilles wasted no time in breaking free from Wenzel to charged after leader Kistner who had created a healthy lead over the field. At the line in lap 17, Gilles threw his car to the inside of Kistner to take over the lead with three laps to the end of the race. Gilles charged through lapped traffic and took the checkered flag to win his first A-Main of the season. Fast qualifier Kistner followed in second with heat winner Winkler in third. In the next lap, Liegeois threw his car to the inside of Kuhfuss to take back the lead. Just before the second and final yellow flag appeared in lap 7, Jessica Liegeois of Oconto and JJ Anderson of Pulaski charged from fifth and sixth into second and third behind leader Liegeois at the line. The Eastern 8 A-Main started with a red flag immediately after the initial green for a car that rolled down the back stretch. This caution flag would be the only halt in the racing action as a full field of competitors vied for a feature win. Paul Steffens of Appleton and Mike Bastian of Manitowoc charged out in front of the field at the beginning with Bastian tucking his car to the inside to pressure for the lead as Nick Kelley of Neenah moved into third. A three-wide battle developed behind Kelley with Brad Ruh of Elkhart Lake, his son Steven Ruh of Chilton and Josh Setzer of Sheboygan racing side by side through turns three and four and down the front stretch with Brad Ruh in fourth by only inches. A lap later, Brad Ruh threw his car inside of Kelley to pressure for third place. By lap four, Ruh took over the position and set his focus on catching up to the top spots. Ruh’s car worked well as he charged around the track for the next three laps catching up to the back of the battling leader Steffens and Bastian. Three laps later, as Steffens, Bastian and Ruh charged through turns three and four, Ruh made a sweeping move to pass both competitors to take over the lead in lap 10. Ruh began lapping traffic as Bastian held onto second and charged after him. Heat winner John Mahlberg of Hilbert moved into third by lap 13. Ruh and the front runners weaved through lapped traffic as the laps clicked off. Ruh solidly charged through the checkered flag to win his second A-Main of the season with Bastian, Mahlberg, Steffens and heat winner Bret Koehler of Two Rivers rounding out the top five.
