Work Day is Saturday, April 14th and starts at 8:00 AM. We will need help with painting the entire guardrail and the flag. Thanks to Manitowoc County for donating the paint. Mounting additional caution lights will need to be done along with the annual pre-season rock picking detail.
The Brat Fry will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 21st and end at…? Any interested car clubs are invited to show their cars. Many of our own racers will have their cars ready and there for show as well. We are still in need of volunteers to work the beer stand, food stand, selling raffle tickets, etc. A lot of our faithful ticket sellers are busy selling brat fry tickets. The Grand Prize is a 2007 Polaris Sportsman 450, which is being provided by Weiss Implement in Glenbulah.
Practice Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 28th. The pits will open at 9:00 AM. The track will be open from 10:00 until 2:00, depending upon the track condition. The cost will be $5.00 per car with Pit Passes at $15.00 for everyone, member and non-member. Inspections will also take place for all cars. Don’t bother with packing a good nutritional lunch to bring along, either as the food stand will be open with stuff that tastes a whole lot better than fruit, vegetables or Granola bars…
Sunset Tour Night at the Races will open the 2007 season on Saturday, May 5th. The pits will open at 1:00 PM for inspections and pictures. You will need to be signed in by 5:00. The Pit Meeting will be at 5:15; packing will begin at 5:30. All divisions that qualify will be taking 2 consecutive laps.
Thanks to Krajnik Chevrolet in Two Rivers for donating $1,500.00 for the Grand National point fund and Tisler Auto Salvage for again donating $1,000.00 for the Eastern 8 point fund.
Take a look at the schedule and you’ll notice some new additions for 2007. The Pit Bikes will be racing in the infield during intermission on several race nights. The CCRA Street Stocks will join us on several occasions and the MSA/PDTR 360 Sprint Cars also have numerous dates on the schedule. And last, but not least, a Demo Derby has been scheduled during Labor Day weekend!
We are looking for volunteer groups to work the concession stand throughout the 2007 season. This requires twelve people per group. Contact Bill Hoftiezer (920-467-6791) or Scott Haugstad (920-876-3711) if you are interested or know of any groups that may be interested. A monetary donation will be made to your organization to compensate for your time.
