	Fall / Winter 2005-2006 Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Information!
Manitowoc, WI. December 21, 2005 - EWSC Membership Meetings: Eastern Wisconsin Stock Cars holds a monthly membership meeting for the entire year. These meetings are open to all members of EWSC as well as anyone interested in finding out more about EWSC the Club, the race program or the EWSC divisions. Membership meetings are held the second Monday of each month at Steve & Rose’s S & R Bar and Restaurant located on County Highway C east of Plymouth, Wisconsin. The meetings start at 8 pm. EWSC Memberships are for sale starting in December 2005 for the 2006 racing season. The following EWSC membership meetings are scheduled for early in 2006: Monday, January 9th Monday, February 13th Monday, March 13th Monday, April 10th EWSC 2006 Race Schedule : In August 2005, the EWSC Board of Directors submitted a list of the Saturday nights from May to September 2006 to start putting together the EWSC Race Season for next year. The Expo office reviewed the dates and recorded in their calendar. With the exception of the fair race date and the second weekend in September, the 2006 race schedule was set and published on the back of the EWSC point sheet for the final night of the 2005 season on September 17th. In October, it was confirmed through the Expo office by Lia there will be a huge “Camper Rally” the second weekend in September and EWSC was asked to race on *Sunday, September 10th, 2006. This date was approved by the Board of Directors and added to the schedule. Early in December, the fair race date for EWSC was confirmed as Wednesday, August 23rd. Also early in December, Dave Deicher, former President of EWSC, who is working as the contact person with Luxemburg Speedway, announced that the Winged Super Modifieds are invited back to race with the regular Friday night show at Luxemburg on Friday, May 26th and Friday, August 11th.* Other dates to note are the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Cars & Milwaukee Stock Car Club *LEGENDS* Night which was set early in the 2005 season will be held *Saturday, July 29, 2006.* For updates on the EWSC schedule and to watch for specialty nights, visiting divisions and sponsored nights, please refer to the Schedule section on this website. Racers who raced at least 5 nights in the 2005 season have first “rights” to their number. *These numbers are held until the Tuesday following the March EWSC Membership Meeting ( March 14th ). Any new drivers or drivers who raced with EWSC fewer than 4 nights in 2005 will need to call to request a number for 2006. Please reserve your numbers by contacting EWSC Vice President Steve Ziegelbauer at (920) 565-4221. EWSC Board of Directors:* In October, the EWSC membership elected the 2006 Board of Directors. Three board members, Mary Burbach-Horneck, Steve Ziegelbauer and Mike Urner, were not on the ballot and are beginning the second year in a two-year term. Butch and Janet Hafemann were re-elected to the EWSC Board. New board members, Kris Hansen and Roger Borth, join the Board for their first year. Kris is a 13-year veteran driver in the EWSC Winged Super Modified division. Kris, his family and crew are very actively involved in EWSC. Kris’ wife Jamie is the coordinator of the EWSC Junior Fan Club and in the past year, stepped up into the Track Photographer position. Kris and his crew actively worked with Chuck Tuschl and his crew to prepare the racetrack for the 2005 EWSC race season. Roger has been involved with racing for a number of years as a driver and as a track official. Roger has been involved in the EWSC Mighty 4 division since it began with the Club. The Board of Directors selected the following as officers: President Mary Horneck Vice-President Steve Ziegelbauer Treasurer Janet Hafemann Secretary Mike Urner Grand Nationals: After much consideration and many conversations with EWSC Super Stock drivers, the EWSC Board of Directors voted to change the Super Stock division to a Grand National division. The EWSC Board of Directors met with the CCRA Board to talk about rules. Rules for this division will be posted late this year or in the first week of January 2006. 2006 EWSC Memberships: For sale starting at the December Membership meeting, the 2006 EWSC Club membership will cost $ 25 until the “drop of the green flag” for the Daytona 500. Starting after the green flag, the membership will cost $ 35 until the EWSC Spring Brat Fry and Car Show scheduled on Saturday, April 22nd. After the Brat Fry/Car Show, the membership cost will be $ 45 for the season. Memberships are available at all EWSC Membership Meetings.
