A lap later, past track champion Pete Ostrowski of East Troy flew around the high side of the track to sweep past Swendrowski on the front stretch to take over third. Hansen and Hafemann threw their cars to the high side and the battle began. Coming out of turns three and four to complete lap seven, Ostrowski took the advantage and Hafemann ducked his car to the inside to save second but at the line Ostrowski took over the challenge position and set his sights on the lead. A lap later, Ostrowski threw his car to the inside of leader Hansen to charged side by side with Hansen down the front stretch. As Hansen and Ostrowski raced into turn one, Hansen still held onto the lead but Ostrowski pushed harder and took over control of the race coming out of turn two. Hafemann followed the battling Ostrowski and Hansen and maneuvered passed Hansen on the back stretch to take over second. Ostrowski and Hafemann readjusted their driving line and went back to the outside of the track to charge through the corners. At the mid-point in the race, in lap 12, Chuck Tuschl of Reedsville charged after Hansen to challenge for third and last week’s feature winner Tim McMullen of Plymouth joined the top five. Two laps later, Tuschl retired to the pits with mechanical problems leaving McMullen and Swendrowski charging after Ostrowski, Hafemann and Hansen. At the line in lap 15, McMullen pulled alongside Hansen with only inches giving third place to McMullen. With his sights on the lead, McMullen broke free and charged up to Hafemann. Leader Ostrowski, Hafemann and McMullen skillfully weaved in and out of lapped traffic as the checkered flag came closer. Four laps from the end, McMullen threw his car to the inside groove and raced side by side with Hafemann to take over second place by inches at the line but four lapped cars were between his car and leader Ostrowski. McMullen charged forward but Ostrowski was hooked up and flew through the checkered flag to win his second A-Main of the season. Ostrowski’s win earned him a clean sweep by adding this win to his fast time and heat win. McMullen followed in second with heat winner Hafemann, Hansen and Swendrowski rounding out the top five.
Four different leaders charged through the Limited Late Model feature race with Dave Haag of Glenbeulah taking the first lead before the only yellow flag in lap one. Mark Dingel of Sheboygan took over the lead in lap two with another Sheboygan driver Dave Schaetzer pulling into second behind him and Plymouth’s Scott Haugstad in third. At the line in lap six, Haugstad charged forward passing Schaetzer to take over second and pulled side by side with leader Dingel at the start/finish line. Point leader Dan Dippel of Plymouth moved into third in the same lap. Haugstad charged side by side with Dingel through turns one and two making his move to take over control of the race on the backstretch. Dippel followed Haugstad passed Dingel to take over second intent on reeling in Haugstad. For laps, Haugstad flew around the Manitowoc track holding off the past track champion Dippel. Four laps from the checkered flag, Haugstad ducked his car to the inside groove but Dippel charged to the outside and pulled up next to Haugstad with only a couple inches separating first and second places. A lap later, Dippel secured the lead and set his sights on the win. As the white flag flew, Tim Thompson of Campbellsport charged passed Schaetzer to take over third behind Dippel and Haugstad. At the line, Dippel also clean sweeped by winning his fifth Limited Late Model A-Main of the season. Haugstad followed in second with Thompson, Dingel and Haag rounding out the top five. By lap twelve, leader Winkler, Fuhrmann, Peter and Gilles charged around the front of the pack together. Gilles moved into third a lap later after passing Peter at the line. Gilles set his sights on Fuhrmann and charged around the top of the track to catch the second place runner. As Gilles caught up to the bumper of Fuhrmann in lap seventeen, Gilles threw his car to the inside of the track and crossed the line side by side with Fuhrmann but Fuhrmann still held second and battled back. |

A lap later, Gilles tried the high side of the track coming out of turn four but Fuhrmann still had the advantage. The next lap, at the white flag, Gilles flew through turns three and four at almost the outer most groove of the track and shot down the front stretch passing Fuhrmann for second with only one lap left in the race. Winkler held a solid lead and Gilles could not make up the ground. At the checkered flag, Winkler smoothly won his second A-Main of the season. Gilles followed in second with Fuhrmann, Peter and Wenzel rounded out the top five.
